OUR MEMBERS CONSIST OF:
DIG-DUG ON VOCALS
DIG-DUG COMES FROM A BACKGROUND OF NO MUSICIANS IN HIS LIFE WHEN HE WAS A CHILD. HE WAS BORN IN THE MUDDY SWAMPS OF MCKINNEY TEXAS. WHEN HE WENT TO HIS FIRST CONCERT AT THE AGE OF 12 HE HAS BEEN HOOKED ON LIVE MUSIC EVER SINCE. HE KNEW HE WANTED TO BE A MUSICIAN. SO BEGAN HIS JOURNEY INTO MUSIC WHERE IT HAS SEEN HIM SING ONSTAGE WITH QUEENSRYCHE AND PLAY BASS OPENING FOR DROWNING POOL. HE HAS BEEN IN A FEW BANDS IN DFW.....SOME SUCCESSFUL AND SOME NOT....SOME ON VOCALS, SOME ON BASS. BUT IT'S HIS LOVE OF MUSIC AND PERFORMING THAT KEEPS HIM COMING BACK TO THE STAGE!
DIG-DUG USES SHURE GLX-D BETA 58A WIRELESS MICCROPHONES AND TC HELICON VOICELIVE 2 VOCAL EFFECTS PROCESSOR.
KIM LUSK "THE GODDESS OF THUNDER" ON BASS
Kim grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She began playing bass by ear at the age of 15. She wanted to be a musician from an early age and has always enjoyed different genres of music but always felt a strong connection to rock and heavy metal. After listening to Def Leppard and attending her first concert, Iron Maiden, at the age of 13 she said, “I was forever changed and I knew I wanted to be a bass player.” She also has some experience playing piano and saxophone.Kim has had the honor of playing bass in D/FW area tribute bands and also wrote/co-wrote music for an originals metal band. Some of the venues in which Kim has had the honor to play include House of Blues in Dallas, Brewster Street Ice House in Corpus Christi, Choctaw Casino in Oklahoma, and Gas Monkey in Dallas.A few of Kim’s influences include: Rick Savage, Steve Harris, Michael Anthony,Geezer Butler, Eddie Jackson, Cliff Burton, and Geddy Lee.
Kim currently plays Buddy Blaze basses and proudly uses Hartke Bass Amplifiers.
KEN POLAND ON DRUMS
I LIKE TO PLAY DRUMS. I LIKE TACOS. I SOMETIMES PLAY DRUMS WHILE EATING TACOS. ACCORDING TO HIS MOTHER, KENNO STARTED BANGING OUT RHYTHMS TO THE MUSIC ON THE CHURCH PEWS AT AGE THREE. HE GOT HIS FIRST DRUM LESSON AT AGE NINE AND THAT LESSON CHANGED HIS LIFE FOREVER. GROWING UP IN SOUTH GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS HE WAS ABLE TO HONE HIS SKILLS IN THE FANTASTIC MUSIC PROGRAMS OF THE AREA, PERFORMING IN MARCHING, SYMPHONIC AND JAZZ BANDS AS WELL AS ALL-CITY AND ALL-REGION BANDS. UPON GETTING HIS FIRST DRUM SET AT AGE 12, KENNO WAS PLAYING CONSTANTLY TO HIS MOTHERS 45'S AND IT DIDN'T TAKE HIM LONG TO FIND OTHER MUSICIANS TO JAM WITH. HE FORMED HIS FIRST BAND AT 14 WITH GUYS THAT WERE INTO HEAVIER MUSIC AND IT CHALLENGED HIM TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL. OVER THE YEARS, HE HAS BEEN IN MANY BANDS WITH MANY STYLES, BUT IT'S THE LOVE FOR ROCK AND METAL THAT KEEPS HIM GOING.
KENNO USES LUDWIG AND D-DRUM DRUMS, ZILDJIAN CYMBALS, REMO DRUMHEADS, LP AND REMO PERCUSSION, AUDIX DRUM MICS AND VIC FIRTH DRUMSTICKS. I LIKE TACOS.
MATT CHAPMAN ON GUITAR
Winning a guitar playing competition at Six Flags, at age 12, only confirmed what Matt already knew - he was a guitar player first, foremost and forever. Matt shares a characteristic with Jimi Hendrix - he is rarely seen without a guitar in his hands, no matter where he is. Quiet and thoughtful, Matt transforms on stage into a swirling note devil, sonically surfing over wave upon wave of raw powerful sound. Like Slash, he defies the predictability of category, and seeks to be completely responsive to the atmos of the moment - fast or fluid. his phrasing has an eloquence that is the voice of his soul.
Matthew exclusively plays Buddy Blaze Custom Original Flying V Guitars, WEDGIE PICKS, RANDALL AMPS AND DUNLOP EFFECTS.
